SLAAO PRACTICESegmental left atrial appendage opacification

Practice

You will review a series of CT images. Use the viewer to zoom, pan, and window each image, then record whether you see SLAAO Type 1, Type 2 (and its variant), and any LAA thrombus. Overall SLAAO is derived automatically. Responses are saved as you go and downloaded as a CSV at the end.

Viewer controls

  1. WW/WL: tap WW/WL, then drag - left/right for window width, up/down for window level (brightness and contrast).
  2. Zoom: pinch with two fingers, or tap Zoom and drag up/down.
  3. Pan: tap Pan and drag to move a zoomed image.
  4. Invert flips greyscale. Reset returns to the default view.
  5. Scroll: where a cine is available, tap ↕ Scroll to scroll the acquisition for orientation. Adjudicate only on the fixed image.

Note: images are 8-bit exports, so windowing adjusts brightness/contrast of the exported frame rather than recovering raw Hounsfield detail.
